ἐφοβήθη
τὸν ὄχλον,

19 ἡ δὲ Ἡρῳδιὰς
ἐνεῖχεν αὐτῷ
καὶ ἤθελεν
αὐτὸν ἀποκτεῖναι,
καὶ οὐκ ἠδύνατο·
20 ὁ γὰρ Ἡρῴδης
ἐφοβεῖτο
τὸν Ἰωάννην,
εἰδὼς αὐτὸν
ἄνδρα δίκαιον
καὶ ἅγιον,
καὶ συνετήρει αὐτόν,
καὶ ἀκούσας αὐτοῦ
πολλὰ ἠπόρει,
καὶ ἡδέως
