27 For the son of man is going to come in the glory of his father with his angels, and then he shall give back to each according to his practice. 28 Amen, I say to you that there are some of those standing here who shall not taste death until they see the son of man coming* in his kingdom. |
8.38 For, whoever is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the son of man will also be ashamed of him when he comes in the glory of his father with the holy angels. 9.1 And he said to them: Amen, I say to you that there are some of those standing here who shall not taste death until they see the kingdom of God having come* in power. |
26 For, whoever is ashamed of me and my words, the son of man will be ashamed of this one when he comes in his glory and that of his father and of the holy angels. 27 But I say to you truly, there are some of those standing on this spot who shall not taste death until they see the kingdom of God. |

48 The Jews answered and said to him: Do we not
say well that you are a Samaritan and that you have a demon?
49 Jesus answered: I do not have a demon, but I
honor my father, and you dishonor me.
50 But I do not seek my
glory; there is one who seeks and judges.
51 Amen, amen,
I say to you, if anyone keeps
my words, he shall not
look on death unto the age.
52 The Jews therefore said to him:
Now we know that you have a demon. Abraham died, and so did the prophets,
and you say: If anyone keeps my word, he shall not
taste death unto the age.
53 Surely you are not greater than our
father Abraham, who died; the prophets died too. Whom do you make
yourself out to be?
54 Jesus answered: If I shall glorify myself,
my glory is nothing; my
father is the one who glorifies me, of whom
you say: He is our God.
55 and you do not know him, but I know him.
And if I should say that I do not know him, I shall be a liar just like you.
But rather I know him and I keep his word.
56 Abraham your father rejoiced to see my day,
and he saw and was glad.
57 The Jews therefore said toward him:
You do not yet have fifty years and you have seen Abraham?
58 Jesus said to them: Amen, amen,
I say to you, before Abraham came into being, I am.
59 They therefore took stones in order to
cast them upon him; but Jesus hid and went out from the temple.
