7.15 Beware of false prophets, who come toward you in the clothing of sheep, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. 7.16 You will know them by their fruits; nor do they collect grapes from thorns or figs from thistles. 7.17 Thus every good tree* makes* fine* fruits,* and the rotten tree* makes* evil fruits.* 7.18 A good tree cannot make evil fruits, nor can a rotten tree make fine fruits. 7.19 Every tree which does not make fine fruit is cut off and cast into the fire. 7.20 From their fruits, then, you will know them. 12.33 Either make the tree fine and its fruit fine or make the tree rotten and its fruit rotten; for from its fruit the tree is known. 12.34 Broods of vipers, how can you speak good things, since you are evil? For from* the overflow* of the heart* the mouth speaks.* 12.35 The good man casts out good things from his good treasure, and the evil man casts out evil things from his evil treasure. |
43 For there is no fine tree* which makes* rotten fruit,* nor is there a rotten tree* which makes* fine* fruit.* 44 For each tree will be known from its own fruit; for they do not collect figs out of thorns, nor do they pick grapes out of a briar. 45 The good man bears forth the good from the good treasure of his heart, and the evil one bears forth evil from his evil, for from* an overflow* of the heart* his mouth speaks.* |
