35 Καὶ πρωῒ ἔννυχα λίαν ἀναστὰς ἐξῆλθεν καὶ ἀπῆλθεν εἰς ἔρημον τόπον κἀκεῖ προσηύχετο. 36 καὶ κατεδίωξεν αὐτὸν Σίμων καὶ οἱ μετ᾿ αὐτοῦ, 37 καὶ εὗρον αὐτὸν καὶ λέγουσιν αὐτῷ ὅτι, Πάντες ζητοῦσίν σε. 38 καὶ λέγει αὐτοῖς· Ἄγωμεν ἀλλαχοῦ εἰς τὰς ἐχομένας κωμοπόλεις, ἵνα καὶ ἐκεῖ κηρύξω· εἰς τοῦτο γὰρ ἐξῆλθον. |
42 Γενομένης δὲ ἡμέρας ἐξελθὼν ἐπορεύθη εἰς ἔρημον τόπον· καὶ οἱ ὄχλοι ἐπεζήτουν αὐτόν, καὶ ἦλθον ἕως αὐτοῦ, καὶ κατεῖχον αὐτὸν τοῦ μὴ πορεύεσθαι ἀπ᾿ αὐτῶν. 43 ὁ δὲ εἶπεν πρὸς αὐτοὺς ὅτι, Καὶ ταῖς ἑτέραις πόλεσιν εὐαγγελίσασθαί με δεῖ τὴν βασιλείαν τοῦ θεοῦ, ὅτι ἐπὶ τοῦτο ἀπεστάλην. |

35 And very early, at night, he stood up and went out and away to a deserted place and prayed there. 36 And Simon and those with him pursued him 37 and found him and say to him: All are seeking you. 38 And he says to them: Let us walk elsewhere into the nearby villages so that I might also preach there, For unto this I came out. |
42 But when it became day he went out and journeyed to a deserted place. And the crowds sought him and came up to him, and prevented him from journeying away from them. 43 But he said to them: I must also preach the gospel of the kingdom of God to the other cities, since for this I was sent. |
