1 And Jesus* went out and journeyed out of the temple, and his disciples came up to show him the buildings of the temple. 2 But he answered and said to them: Do you not see all these things? Amen, I say to you, stone will not even be left upon stone here that will not be destroyed. 3 But, while he was sitting upon the Mount of Olives, his disciples came to him in private, saying: Say to us when these things will be, and what the sign is of your advent and the consummation of the age. |
1 And as he journeyed out from the temple one of his disciples says* to him: Teacher, see what kind of stones and what kind of buildings. 2 And Jesus* said to him: Do you see these great buildings? Stone will not even be left upon stone here that will not be destroyed. 3 And, while he was sitting at the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him in private: 4 Say to us when these things will be, and what the sign is when all these things are about to be consummated. |
5 And when some said* about the temple that it was decorated with beautiful stones and votives, he said: 6 These things which you observe, days will come in which stone shall not be left upon stone that shall not be destroyed. 7 But they asked him, saying: Teacher, when therefore will these things be? And what is the sign when these things are about to happen? |
