He is mentioned in passing in Matthew 13.55 = Mark 6.3 as one of the four brothers of Jesus. His only other mention by name on the pages of the New Testament is in the greeting of his own epistle, Jude [1.]1; Paul the apostle also refers to certain unnamed brothers of the Lord in 1 Corinthians 9.5, and Luke mentions unnamed brothers of Jesus in Acts 1.13.
