Only one canonical epistle is attributed to Jude the brother of the Lord and of James. This epistle manages, for all its brevity, to cite or allude to two books usually deemed noncanonical, to wit, either the Ascension or Testament of Moses in verse 9 and the Enochic literature (refer to 1 Enoch 1.9) in verse 14.
