1 And it happened that, when he
came into the house of one of the rulers of the Pharisees to eat bread on the
sabbath, they themselves were also observing him.
2 And behold, there was before
him a certain man with dropsy.
3 And Jesus answered and said
toward the lawyers and Pharisees, saying: Is it permitted to heal on the
sabbath or not?
4 But they were quiet. And he
took hold of him and healed him and let him loose.
5 And he said toward them:
Among you, whose son or ox
will fall into a well
and you will not straightway draw
him up on the day of
the sabbath?
6 And they did not prevail to
reply back toward him. {13.15 But the Lord answered him and said: Hypocrites, does not each of you on the sabbath loosen his ox or ass from the stall and lead him away to drink?} |
